Bioprocesses & Technologies – Supporting the bio-based transition

This session will focus on the transition from fossil-based to bio-based, and how industrial biotechnology and novel bioprocesses can support this transition towards a European Bioeconomy across sectors.


Sustainable Finance – Opportunities and challenges for bio-based innovation

This session will look at the opportunities and challenges for sustainable finance linked to bio-based innovation. It will cover the trends in strategic decisions for investments, as well as the drivers for those trends, and how financial decision making varies across players.


Food, feed & nutrition – Novel approaches for food systems innovation

This session will explore novel approaches for innovation in food systems, from novel production processes and solutions to collaborations and ecosystem development. It will bring together speakers from across the food system value chain to share perspectives on increasing the sustainability and resilience of the EU food system, also in the context of the EU Framework for Sustainable Food Systems.


Legislation Round Table: New Genomic Techniques

Current legislative proposals on NGTs address plants and Europe needs to look to the longer-term. EuropaBio members and invited guests will discuss ambitions and achievements for Europe and how this helps to deliver the EU industrial strategy and Green Deal within a global context.
